Schwerin von Krosigk, Lutz Graf (1887-1952) Born 1887. Studied law, decorated in World War I After serving in the Finance Ministry during the Weimar Republic, he became Minister of Finance in von Papen's government in June 1932 and held this post throughout the Third Reich period. Marshalled financial resources for German re-militarization and supported Hitler's anti-Semitic policies. After the war, he was tried at Nuremberg, convicted of war crimes, and sentenced to ten years in prison.
